Uniforms / MandatoryDress Code: 

Uniforms create a more structured and disciplined class environment, and have a positive effect on a student’s attitude in class. Uniforms prevent students from wearing inappropriate clothing like baggy sweatshirts, sweatpants, tank tops, shorts, etc., and also eliminates the unnecessary expense of purchasing new trendy apparel. Teachers need to be able to see a student’s body in order to help the student with proper body alignment. Uniforms also insure that students are wearing the proper shoes that will help develop a dancer’s muscles correctly and prevent unnecessary injuries. All required items can be purchased at the Dance Shoppe (434-8686), 8925 Kingsridge Drive.

Please consult the itemized Mandatory Dress Code List & note the manufacturer & style number before purchasing shoes and dancewear.

Age appropriate styles and quality brands have been selected for your student’s best comfort and longest wear. Quality dancewear and dance shoes do make a substantial difference in a dancer’s performance. Most professional and pre-professional organizations require uniforms. It reflects the quality training & atmosphere, and instills school pride.
