Class Placement

* All students are placed by skill level by our highly trained faculty in order to challenge the individual student, but not overwhelm them, in accordance to their muscle development and in order to prevent injury. 

*Previous students will find their class placement noted on the front of a registration packet in the mail during the summer months. 

*New students, with previous dance training, are required to participate in a placement class prior to registration to ensure proper placement.

*At SDSD, we see children as individuals that develop at their own speed, please do not compare your child to others.

*Don't be concerned if your child is repeating a level.  We offer 12 levels of ballet that are to cover 15 years of training, therefore students will have to spend more than one year in at least one level.

*During the first few weeks of the new school year, adjustments will be made as needed to assure all students are properly placed within our program.
