Recital Information

RECITAL FEE:

The $25 Recital Fee (per student) is due on or before December 20th. There will be an additional $10 charge for each student paying the Recital Fee after the December 20, 2008 deadline.

COSTUMES:

  • Creative Mvmt, Pre-Ballet, & Pre-Tap Classes (approx. ages 3-6): Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, & Pre-Tap will purchase & keep their recital costumes. All pre-costumes will be $50 each. Payment in full must be received on or before December 20th if your child is to participate in the recital. You will also be required to provide a new pair of tights & appropriate shoes.
  • Beginning - Advanced Level Classes: (approx. ages 7-18): SDSD will continue to provide costumes for Beg-Adv levels, oftentimes using the mandatory dress code as the basic. You will be required to provide a new pair of tights and the appropriate shoes. In addition to the Recital Fee, these students will pay a $5 Costume R/M (rental/maintenance) Fee (per class, but not to exceed $20 per student). Due by Dec. 20, 2008.

RECITAL TICKETS:

Bellbrook HS Auditorium seats approx. 640. We don’t anticipate a lack of seating, but can’t guarantee there will be tickets available at the door. Pre-Paid Ticket orders will be available for pick-up beginning Mon, April 27th. Remaining tickets will be available for purchase beginning Mon, May 4th. Tickets are $9 each.

If you have one (1) student performing in two (2) shows, you will only need to purchase one (1) set of tickets and the tickets for the second performance will be complimentary. However, this must be noted on the Pre-Paid Ticket Order Form, when purchasing the 1st set of tickets. If you have two (2) students, each participating in a different performance, you will need to purchase tickets for each performance you wish to attend. Need clarification? See Julie.

Performing Students do not need tickets for any of the performances. (Babies, under the age of 1 year, do not require a ticket) Ticket Order Form Attached.

REFRESHMENTS:

A concession stand will be open during rehearsals and also during each intermission on recital day. No food or beverages will be permitted inside the theater or dressing rooms. Students are not permitted to eat or drink while in costume.

FLOWERS:

For your convenience, members of South Dayton Dance Theatre will be selling affordable floral bouquets during all (3) performances. Proceeds from these sales help to offset the costs of staging the annual Nutcracker.

VIDEO TAPING & DVD ORDERS:

You are welcome to video tape during the Dress Rehearsal only. Battery operated cameras may be set up in the extreme back section of the theater only! (No extension cords.) Absolutely no video cameras will be permitted inside the theater on Recital Day. No flash photography! A professional videographer will tape all three performances. Pre-Paid DVD orders will be available for pick-up beginning Sunday, August 16, 2009 during the Open House or any time after August 16th during regular studio hours. Order Form attached.
